CREATIVE MOVEMENT LAB presents: MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Mentorship program consist of 4 courses, each 3 months long.

After finishing the first mentorship program, you are considered competent to substitute the teacher when needed.

After 2 mentorship programs completed, you can lead your classes under the supervision of a teacher (sending regular feedbacks and discussing the problematics).

If you wish to lead your own classes it is mandatory to  finish all 4 mentorship programs in 2 years period (after starting to teach).

SUMMARY OF EACH course:

3 months course (1st mentorship program will be held during SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER / NOVEMBER 2020)

12 mentorship classes

24 regular weekly capoeira or fluid balance classes

16 kids classes

2 open rodas

12 individualised homeworks

2  classes (leading the class)

OBLIGATIONS:

  • Out of 12 mentorship classes, a minimum of 10 classes are mandatory 
  • 2 regular weekly capoeira/fluid balance classes throughout the course are mandatory
  • Assisting on 16 classes for kids during the course is mandatory
  • Mandatory participation on 2 open rodas during the 3 months course
  • Yielding 12 homeworks
  • leading 2 classes is considered a test during the last month of the 3 months course 

FEES for each course:

Option 1 :

300 euros

Includes: the program provided in SUMMARY

Option 2 :

350 euros

Includes: extra 1 or more regular classes per week + the program provided in SUMMARY

Penalty for being late for mentorship class is 1 euro/minute (example: if you are 10 minutes late for the class, you are obliged to pay the fee of 10 euros to association)

To apply, you have to pay the fee and fill up the google form which will include your LETTER OF INTEREST and CV

dancer, acrobat, teacher, professor of capoeira, theater artist, performer

Katjuša has been working with artists from different disciplines, merging her knowledge and experiences in a unique movement expression. She has been engaged in movement/creative disciplines since she was five; in the beginning in expression dance and improvisation theatre, later in contemporary dance and physical theatre. Since 2004, she is engaged in circus practices and street theatre; she was part of a one-year acrobatic programme in Beijing International Arts School and graduated at Šugla (street theatre school) in Ljubljana.

Since 2006, she is active in Capoeira, receiving her professor belt in 2015. She regularly teaches fluid balance classes, street theatre (movement in urban space) and capoeira (adults, children, persons with disabilities). She has worked with: Branko Potočan & Fourklor company, Ana Monro Theatre, Capoeira Associations, City of Women, Richard Foreman (USA), Seth Baumrin (USA), Alicia  Ocadiz (MX), Huiqin Wang (CH), Marina Abramović (SRB),…  Katjuša is a performer, choreographer and producer in individual and group productions.

teacher, professor of capoeira, dancer, Taekwondo master, acrobat, stuntman and performer

Nikola has years of experience as a teacher and performer in various mind/body/movement practices and works with individuals from different artistic disciplines. Having a master degree 3rd dan in Taekwondo, he is the co-founder and member of the first Croatian Martial Arts Tricks demo team “X-OUT”. Nikola is skilled in hand-balancing, circus/acrobatics, capoeira, gymnastics, stunts and contemporary dance. He merges all these disciplines in his own training system, passing his knowledge to students through fluid balance classes and workshops.

Since 2002, he is active in capoeira as the first Croatian Capoeira professor, teaching students (children and adults) in the Croatian Association Amazonas. Since 2009, he has been professionally active as a stuntman. He also worked as associate professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology at the department of acrobatics. He is an active member of Integrated Movement Research Collective, Croatian Dancers Association and Croatian Film Artists Association. Works with artists like Richard Foreman (USA), Seth Baumrin (USA), (Snježana Abramović Milković, Iva Nerina Sibila, Žak Valenta (HR), Branko Potočan (SI)…
